Description
In this class, you’ll learn how to draw a more advanced template and a more intricate mandala design. The class lasts approximately 90 minutes.
What you’ll need
This list is the same as the Beginners Class although I’d recommend having an additional ultrafine fineliner.
- Geometry compass (with pen attachment)
- Pencil*
- Protractor
- 30 cm clear ruler (and ideally a shorter clear ruler too)
- Rubber/Eraser
- Thick white paper (for my classes A4 is perfect)
- Smudge-proof fineliner pens (one 0.45mm and one 0.25 would be ideal
I’d recommend having either a cutting mat or an old magazine to hand to place under your paper when you are using the compass so that you don’t make a hole in your table or desktop.
You’ll also want some colouring pencils, paints or pens to colour in the design after the class. I’ve used Arteza Brush Pens and a 1mm gold marker from Pilot.
*While any pencil will do, my favourite pencil I own is this mechanical pencil. I love the way it glides across the paper. There is also a less expensive version but I haven’t tried this one myself.

Charmain Felts –
I had a wonderful time with the online Mandala class.
I enjoyed learning about the history of the art before we were guided step-by-step through the creative process of developing our own Mandala. I felt comfortable with the pace and the friendly tuition. I was pleased with my results and will definitely be able to build on what I have learnt. I’d recommend this class.
