Having started these classes in lockdown, they are as much a social event as they are an art class. We chat as we draw. Each month, we’ll cover a different design from a range of art traditions from around the world including Arabic Geometry, Celtic knots, and, of course, mandalas. This year, I’ll be repeating some favourite classes from previous years, many with a new twist, most classes, however, will be brand new for 2023.
Each class lasts about an hour (but can be anything from 45 minutes to one and a half hours depending on the particular session). I offer several dates and times each month so hopefully, there is one to suit you. See below for a list of things you’ll need.
Please note the class may be recorded. A small selection of previous Art Club Videos are available to purchase. Alternatively, Private Classes can also be arranged.
Please select the date you would like to attend from the drop-down menu below. All times are based on the London time zone (GMT in winter or BST in summer). A link to the class on Zoom will be automatically sent after booking. Please keep a note of this ready for the class.
What you'll need
What we will use varies slightly from month to month but usually includes the following.
- Geometry compass (all classes)
- Pencil (all classes)
- Clear ruler (all classes)
- Rubber/Eraser (all classes)
- A4 thick paper, card, or watercolour paper (all classes)
- Protractor
- Smudge-proof fineliner pen
- Colouring pencils, pens or paints (not strictly needed for the class but can be used to colour your drawing after the class)
- Tracing paper and low tack masking tape
